What is your favorite holiday? Why is it your favorite?

I love New Year’s Eve and have since childhood. I remember staying up until midnight which I thought was a big deal and I felt very grown up. I watched the ball in Times Square drop every year as a child and many years as an adult. I went to Times Square (I was actually two blocks away due to crowds) to watch the ball drop in 1999. I can’t recommend it but I’m glad I did it.

There’s something very optimistic and inspirational about celebrating a new year that I love. It’s a great opportunity to get dressed up and do something glamorous. I also think New Year’s Eve is a romantic holiday if you have someone special with whom to celebrate the holiday. The holidays are a great time for reflection and New Year’s Eve/Day is a nice way to end the festivities.
