In the latest installment trending tweet of the ongoing social media spat between Cardi B and Candace Owens Cardi shared her thoughts on pornography. Cardi B said that she enjoys pornography and thinks it’s a great way for men to learn to please women. I don’t agree with Cardi B at all.
Cardi is biased because she went from being a stripper to reality TV show cast member on Love and Hip Hop and then a chart topping rapper. Sex work and highly sexual imagery has paid off well for Cardi B. Her results are not typical. Cardi is naive and sheltered.
I use to watch pornography. I decided to stop. I’m grateful that I have a foundation in Christ that gives me a moral compass to know when something is wrong. If you’ve never watched pornography it probably isn’t what you expected it to be. It’s not the visual version of a Harlequin romance or something like that.

I’m grateful that I have read God’s word. The standards of the Bible helped me to understand that even thought pornography is legal and widely accepted it’s not beneficial. I wouldn’t say I was addicted to pornography but it was an occasional habit. I’m glad I was taught to pray for help and strength in breaking that destructive habit. Praise the Lord. Always trust and believe in God.
Candace Owens wants porn to be banned because she said it makes men weak. I wish more people would turn away from it willingly. I can’t speak to the effect of porn on men. I don’t think it helps men at all. It’s certainly harmful for women and I think pornography is responsible for some of the hostility and violence towards women in the world today. Men not only need to turn away from pornography. They need to turn towards Christ and gain strength from Him and his word.
