Winter Audiobook Review: Kamala’s Way πŸŽ§πŸ“±

I finished listening to “Kamala’s Way” by Dan Morain. This is a biography about Vice President Kamala Harris. This book is well researched and informative. I enjoyed this book and learned a lot of Harris.

I recommend “Kamala’s Way” for those that are interested in the subject matter. I’ve read several biographies about politicians. They tend to be a little boring because they are about lawyers and policy. This book is no different. The writer is very detailed about Kamala’s career moves in government. It’s not super exciting.

Kamala Harris was the AG of California, a senator from California and the VP of the United States. One of the highlights of Kamala’s career was helping to get the website “Backpage” shut down. “Backpage” was used by pimps that trafficked sex workers, some were under aged. Harris also held Corinthian Colleges for scamming vulnerable students. Harris won a $1B lawsuit on behalf of students that enrolled in their programs.

I followed the 2024 presidential election and admired and supported Harris and the Democrat party. I learned a lot more about Harris and have come to respect her even more. Harris is a brave woman of integrity and a hard worker. She is no nonsense and stands up for vulnerable and disenfranchised people. I think she would have served the country well as president. I’m glad I took the time to listen to this book.
