Lily Allen Overshares on a Podcast πŸ—£οΈπŸ—£οΈπŸ—£οΈπŸ«¨πŸ˜©

British pop star appeared on a terrible podcast recently. I’m familiar with Lily Allen because she made a catchy pop hit in the mid 00s named “Smile”. I enjoyed the vinegary break up song and thought Lily had a pretty face, cool style and a quirky personality. I didn’t follow Lily’s career beyond this song but I heard of her now and then.

She discussed the promiscuity and carelessness of her youth and it’s consequences. I wish she kept this to herself. This conversation is sad and embarrassing for Lily. The hostess is as sad and embarrassing. No one benefitted from this conversation and it doesn’t seem that there was much growth or reflection. Lily needs to learn about Jesus and lay all of this at the foot of the cross.

I maintain my political stance that the government should not be a part of a woman’s decision to have an abortion or not but this conversation is ridiculous and government involvement shouldn’t be needed. I don’t know why these women opened themselves up to any of this.

Where was the education? Where was the discretion? Where was the common sense? Podcasts give celebrities past their peak a second wind and it’s often embarrassing for everyone involved. Lily and the podcaster should have kept this information to themselves or perhaps taken it to the grave. I don’t think the government should be involved in these matters and the general public doesn’t need to be involved either.
