There are so many things that were commonly used, enjoyed and popularized by the working class, poor people and hippies. Affluent people and corporations lurk on social media and take on the trend. People with less money get their idea sold back to them at an increased price and are pushed out.

There are You Tube channels created by women that seem to be affluent housewives that shop at Dollar Tree and thrift shops. I think they are some of the worst people on the internet. I blame them for price increases at these shops. I also blame local news reporters that wear braids on air for braids becoming more expensive. Jordans have always been expensive but now they are luxury items on the resale market. That started when young entrepreneurs and politicians started wearing them. Jordans can now be seen on the floor of our nation’s Capitol. Poor people and marginalized people get gentrified out of their own style and sub culture. Everything can not be geared towards affluent consumers in a functioning economy.
