What were your parents doing at your age?
They were divorced for several years at that point and they were living separate lives. Both had served over twenty years with their employers. I was a young adult at the time. Both were supportive but mom did the heavy lifting. My dad was enjoying a bachelor’s life and had more freedom. I spent time with and communicated with my father regularly.
My parents weren’t that young when they married and when I was born but I sometimes I still think they were very young with a lot of responsibility.
